The two parts of the pH probe that cause problems are the glass sensing bulb and the reference junction.SENSING BULBThe glass bulb loses sensitivity with use and will eventually fail. This is true of all pH probes.REFERENCE JUNCTIONThe reference junction is a small hole that allows the meter to compare the sample to a reference. The reading is generated based on the electrical difference between the sample and reference. If the junction hole gets clogged, the pH electrode will no longer function. You can extend the life of your pH electrode in the following ways.STORAGEThe pH probe needs to be kept hydrated. Long periods of dry storage will damage the sensitivity of the probe. Allowing the probe to dry out may also result in the junction hole getting clogged.Storing in pH probe storage solution MA9015 or pH calibration buffers will help address both these issues. Do not store in tap water and DI water. This will damage the sensitivity of the probe. The best way to store the probe is with the probe's cap filled with storage solution or calibration buffer and the cap tightened to prevent leakage. It is also recommended that to store the electrode upright to further reduce the potential for leakage.CLEANINGResidue from the sample can impact the sensitivity of the sensing bulb and clog the junction. This is especially true if the sample has a lot of organic material. We recommend regularly soaking your electrode in cleaning solution MA9016.CALIBRATIONThe pH sensing bulbs become less sensitive over time so make sure that you are calibrating regularly to keep your PRO Plus pH meter accurate. Also, calibrate after cleaning or a long period of storage.WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING"Amazingly accurate, the best meter I have used so far.""Very satisfied, very accurate, rugged device that calibrates easily.""Rarely needs to be calibrated and gives perfect readings every time.""Killer tool, good value."

You can extend the life of your pH electrode in the following ways.CLEANING AND STORAGEAll pH sensors have a limited life and response time gets longer with age. Properly maintaining your pH pen tester will give you fast, accurate results for longer. So, be sure to order the Milwaukee pH Maitenance Kit code PH-Main at checkout time! This will be needed to help clean and condition the pH electrode before use!STORAGETo minimize clogging the pH probe needs to be kept hydrated. Long periods of dry storage will damage the sensitivity of the probe. Allowing the probe to dry out may also result in the junction hole getting clogged.Storing in pH probe storage solution or pH calibration buffers will help address both these issues. Do not store in tap water or DI water. This will damage the sensitivity of the probe. The best way to store the probe is with the probe's cap filled with storage solution or calibration buffer and the cap tightened to prevent leakage. It is also recommended that to store the electrode upright to further reduce the potential for leakage.CLEANING AN MAINTENANCEResidue from the sample can impact the sensitivity of the sensing bulb and clog the junction. This is especially true if the sample has a lot of organic material. We recommend regularly soaking your electrode in cleaning solution. Also:1. Inspect the electotrode for damage or scratches, if present replace the electrode.2. Inspect the cable. The connection cable and insulation must be intact.3. Connectors should be clean and dry.4. Rinse off salt deposits with water or DI water.CALIBRATIONThe pH sensing bulbs become less sensitive over time so make sure that you are calibrating regularly to keep your PRO Plus Bench pH Meter accurate. Also, calibrate after cleaning or a long period of storage.Thank you for considering Milwaukee to help you take your results to the next level.

Milwaukee MW700 PRO Lux (Light) Meter

Milwaukee MW700 PRO Lux (Light) Meter

The MW700 is a portable Lux meter designed to perform light measurements from 0 to 50000 Lux. This handy and ergonomically designed Lux meter is ideal for anyone looking for fast and reliable light measurements. This meter is suitable for a wide range of application. Note that the sensor is NOT waterproof.Average indoor lighting ranges from 100 to 1000 Lux and average outdoor sun lights about 50000 Lux. Lux is a unit that indicates the density of light that falls on a surface. The human eye is sensitive only to blue, green, and red light, so in calculating the Lux falling on an object, only the light that the human eye sees is counted. When only infrared light falls on an object, the Lux is counted as zero since our eyes see nothing. Mathematically, a spectral weighting function becomes convolved with the actual illumination spectrum to calculate Lux exactly. This is the formal definition of Lux and it makes Lux an unusual unit of measure. Still, Lux can be thought of as a way of measuring light in terms of what our eyes perceive. The metric unit of measure for luminance of a surface. One Lux is equal to one Lumen per square meter. One Lux equals 0.0929 footcandles. DESIGN FEATURESFast, easy-to-read results with large digital LCD readout, silicon photodiode sensor attached to a 4.4' cable, Three resolution settings - 1, 10, and 100 Lux, Accuracy to ±6% of reading ±1 digitLightweight and portable, 150 hours of battery life with continuous use (battery included) with low battery warning.SPECIFICATIONS Milwaukee MW700 PRO Lux (Light) MeterRange: 0.000 to 1999 Lux; 2000 to 19999 Lux; 20000 to 50000 LuxRange Setting: Manual through key buttonsResolution: 0.000 to 1999 Lux: ±1 Lux; 2000 to 19999 Lux - ±10 Lux; 20000 to 50000 Lux - ±100 LuxAccuracy: ±6% of reading ±1digitsPeak wave length: 560 (nm)Sensor type: Silicon Photodiode (connected to meter)Sensor sensitivity: 100 scotopic LUXSensor stability: ±2% change per year (in first two years)Environment: 0 to 50°C / 32 to 122°F; max RH 95%Battery Type: 1 x 9V alkalineBattery Life: Approx. 150 hours of continuous useAuto-off: after about 5 minutes of non-useDimensions: 5.6 x 3.1 x 1.25 inchesWeight (meter with sensor): 9.5 ounces

Tilt Hydrometer and Thermometer - Black

Tilt Hydrometer and Thermometer - Black

Designed for home brewing, the Tilt hydrometer lets you instantly read your brew's specific gravity and temperature on your compatible Apple iPhone/iPad or Android smartphone/tablet or Tilt Pi. Most Bluetooth 4.0+ devices will work with the Tilt. You can then optionally log data to the cloud using our free Google Sheets template or other 3rd party cloud platforms. See our Apps section for more detail. The specific gravity is accurate +/- 0.002 within the Tilt's range of 0.990 to 1.120. The thermometer is accurate +/- 1 degree F (+/- 0.5 degree C).Our goal is to help home brewers brew better beer. The Tilt hydrometer allows you to check the specific gravity and temperature of your beer while it's fermenting, without ever having to open your fermenter or pour out any of your precious brew. This makes brewing more consistent and easy to track. Here are some of the new features of the Tilt:Range: Better reception and range. With the increased transmission power your Tilt will send data through larger, thicker-walled fermenters.Precision: Upgraded sensors. With an improved temperature sensor and accelerometer your Tilt will operate with more precision. Efficiency: We've reduced power consumption so more brews, less battery.New Look: Newly designed custom circuit board and harness. If using multiple Tilt hydrometers for different batches of fermenting beer you must use a different color for each batch. The app will not read multiple hydrometers of the same color. Each Tilt comes calibrated and ready to go with a pre-installed battery that lasts 12-24 months depending on usage. Just download the free app, sanitize your Tilt, drop in your fermenter, and start taking readings with your phone, tablet, or Tilt Pi. Tilt Hydrometer and Thermometer - Blue

Tilt Hydrometer and Thermometer - Blue

Download the free Tilt app at the Apple App Store or Google Play Store or get the free Tilt Pi download.

Tilt PRO Hydrometer and Thermometer - Black

Tilt PRO Hydrometer and Thermometer - Black

Designed for high performance production scale stainless steel fermentation tanks, our new Tilt® Pro brings Tilt technology to professional craft brewers. At 3x the volume and weight of our original Tilt hydrometer, the Tilt Pro's larger size allows us to more than double the battery life with preinstalled Energizer® AA lithium batteries that will keep it powered for 3 to 5 years depending on use. So much time you may forget your Tilt actually runs on a battery! The extra size and weight comes with an extra bonus: improved specific gravity stability at high krausen so you will see a steadier read-out on your iPhone, Android, or Raspberry Pi. In addition, we have boosted range with a high-gain antenna that in testing increased range by 20% vs. our original Tilt. Now you can see your Tilt through thicker heads of foam and heavier stainless steel walls. To top it off we've included the extra decimal of precision available from the sensors and to the read-out so there are now decimal degrees Fahrenheit as well as higher resolution Celsius. Specific gravity now reads out to the 10,000th place (for example 1.0000). You can now see fermentation activity dropping less than a brewer's point per day. In all we've made several adjustments we believe the craft beer professional (and serious home brewer) is sure to appreciate.Specifications TILT PRO WIRELESS HYDROMETER AND THERMOMETERSize: 1.7" (43mm) diameter (max) by 5.4" (140mm) tallWeight: 5.4 ounces (153g)Specific Gravity Measurement Range: 0.9900 - 1.1200Specific Gravity resolution: 0.00001Temperature Measurement Range: 0°F - 140°F (-17.8°C - 60°C)Note: Installed lithium batteries include a built in PTC (heat activated fuse) that will temporarily cut power if batteries exceed 140°F.Temperature resolution: 0.1°F (0.1°C)Absolute Maximum Temperature Range: -40°F to 185°F (-40°C to 85°C)Battery: User-replaceable, 2x 1.5v AA battery (Li/FeS2), widely sold as "Energizer® AA Ultimate Lithium".If using multiple Tilt hydrometers for different batches of fermenting beer you must use a different color for each batch. Tilt Repeater

Tilt Repeater

Designed for stainless steel fermenting vessels, the Tilt repeater extends range of your Tilt hydrometer so it can reach more convenient locations where you might have a tablet, phone, or Tilt Pi plugged in for continuous automatic logging. Repeater can repeat signal from one Tilt at a time as long as signal is strong enough. It is waterproof and has a 6 month battery life with included USB-micro rechargeable li-ion battery. Repeater updates at least once every 2 minutes. After six months of testing, the Tilt repeater is finally available for purchase. We have been testing with stainless steel fermentors and kegs with great success. The repeater can be placed inside a refrigerator along with a keg or fermenter to push the signal out to phones, tablets, and Raspberry Pi logging solutions.Instructions for use are as follows:Unscrew caps on each end the plastic enclosure. Gently push out electronics assembly. Using the color key located on the battery holder, press the button repeatedly to select the desired Tilt hydrometer color to repeat. For example press the button once to repeat a red Tilt or twice to repeat a green Tilt. To turn the repeater off, press the button repeatedly until the LED blinks red.Confirm desired color selected by opening the Tilt app and verifying selected color shows an initial specific gravity of 0.000 and temperature of 0°F (-17.8°C). Once the repeater connects (indicated by periodic green LED flash) it will show the actual repeated values.Return assembly to tube and screw caps back on. Place repeater as close as possible to Tilt hydrometer (but still outside fermentor) and verify green LED flashes indicating a connection.

Graviator - Wireless Wifi & Bluetooth Hydrometer

Graviator - Wireless Wifi & Bluetooth Hydrometer

A wireless hydrometer and thermometer that measures directly in the fermenter, and comminicates to the app BrewConnect via WiFi. It can be used independently in a brewing via WiFi, but the extra smart thing is that it can communicate directly with Ferminator Connect via Bluetooth. This allows a Ferminator Connect to know the exact temperature inside the beer and adjust the temperature even more precisely. The Gravity charger is charged wirelessly via the included wireless charger. It should therefore never be opened, and you avoid the risk of it leaking and destroying a brew. If the Graviator is not charged before brewing, this is not a problem. It can be charged in approx. 5 hours. The improved algorithm in Graviator, the unique design and build quality provide a high accuracy of ± 0.002 SG. The size and weight of the engraver also make it more stable under the crotch.

I wouldn't consider any other meter."CARE AND USEThe MW802 PRO Combo Meter includes both a pH and EC sensor in the SE600 integrated probe. All pH sensors have a limited life and response time gets longer with age. EC sensors are more robust but can still be affected by residue build up. Both need maintenance. Properly maintaining your probe will give you fast, accurate results for longer. So, be sure to order the Milwaukee codes MA9015 and MA9016 at checkout time! This will be needed to help clean and condition the pH/EC electrode before use! Here are our top four tips.1. Always store with the cap full of buffer or storage solution MA9015 not water.2. Clean your probe regularly by soaking in cleaning solution MA9016.3. Calibrate after cleaning and/or storage before testing to adjust for changes in the pH and EC sensor.4. Gently stir the probe in the sample for a faster result.Thank you for considering Milwaukee to help you take your results to the next level.

RAPT Pill Wifi-Bluetooth Hydrometer & Thermometer

RAPT Pill Wifi-Bluetooth Hydrometer & Thermometer

The RAPT Pill provides accurate real-time density (SG) and temperature measurement and control via the WiFi/Bluetooth integration with the RAPT mobile app/RAPT IOT. Made to measure in your fermenter!RAPT Pill provides accurate specific gravity (SG) and real-time temperature logging and control via wifi/bluetooth. The RAPT pill functions as both a hydrometer and thermometer for real-time gravity testing, enabling instant gravity and temperature measurements and also logs from inside the fermenter during fermentation. The RAPT Pill has many advantages over other wireless hydrometers and thermometers including rugged design, better ergonomics, sanitary design and less prone to errors as a result of hops, krausen or CO2 bubbles generated from fermentation.Specifications:The RAPT Pill is approximately 37mm x 125mm - compact enough to fit almost anywhere!Note:Make sure the RAPT pill is charged for 24 hours before use. This is to ensure that it is fully charged and that the battery is calibrated. When the RAPT Pill is connected via USB-C and connected to wifi, the firmware will automatically update to the current version (if needed). Pill must be connected via USB-C and connected to Wi-Fi to receive firmware updates. What is RAPT?RAPT IOT Hub is a free service where all RAPT-enabled products can both log and store data to the hub where you can conveniently access this data. The RAPT hub can also allow you to remotely control your devices giving you absolute control over your device no matter where you are. The RAPT portal enables you to make complex temperature profiles involving different temperature settings over time, meaning you can start/run a temp profile giving you a set and forget experience. The RAPT portal also controls the alert/notification process for you so that you can receive email notifications if something does not go according to plan. There is no limit to the number of RAPT devices you can connect RAPT IOT Hub. This is unlike other popular wireless hydrometers where you are limited by the number of hydrometers you can connect to an app. Please note: RAPT Pill is fully Wi-Fi and Bluetooth compatible. Currently, it can be fully integrated with wifi. Bluetooth integration will be enabled with a later firmware update.GoogleThe Google Play Android app can be downloaded from the link below.https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.raptAppleThe Apple App Store RAPT app can be downloaded via the link below.https://apps.apple.com/th/app/rapt/id1573192994"This app is a web mobile wrapper that allows you to browse the RAPT portal/website so that the website is rendered to a mobile device screen increasing the usability on your device. Kegland Oxygen Flow Meter 8mm Duotight

Kegland Oxygen Flow Meter 8mm Duotight

Kegland Oxygen Flow Meter with 8mm Duotight. Pure oxygen is the best way to get your yeast off to a cracking start. Simply use this high pressure and high capacity disposable tank to boost dissolved oxygen levels in your cooled wort.Oxygen is great for use with high gravity beers or pilsners where you are trying to build up a large population of yeast. We would recommend the use of a diffusion stone. These small diffusion stones create very fine bubbles of oxygen in your wort and help the oxygen to dissolve into solution faster. If you want a really nice optoin we would recommend the use of this oxygenation wand and this is a bit more erganomic as you have a rigid stainless tube to force the stone to the bottom of the fermenter rater than it floating to the surface. This flow control device is designed to be used with our oxygen cylinder and regulator that can be purchased separately.InstructionsAttach the regulator to to the top of your disposable cylinder. Turn pressure up to 1-10psi. Immerse diffusion stone in wort for 1-2 minutes. Then dial the flow meter up to 1.0L/min. The time it takes to saturate will depend on volume, temperature, depth of vessel, and type of stone (0.5mm recommended)NOTE: Wort must be cold. It is extremely difficult to get oxygen to dissolve into hot wort so it's essential to cool wort completely before starting this process.
